Amazing place to stay! Donnie was
fantastic to deal with and I would highly recommend this unique experience on
the Blue Ridge Parkway.
What a fun little adventure we had. We
enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the porch and watching stars all evening.
What a beautiful view! The caboose had everything we needed for the night.
I had the absolute best weekend. It's a
gorgeous location. Couldn't ask for anything better. The cabooses are beautiful
and so unique. Everything was extremely clean and neat. They offer everything
you need except for your food. The awesome scenery is spectacular. I could just
go and sit in those rockers for hours of peace and tranquilly. Donnie and Carol
were the best hosts. They reside on the property and would do anything to help
you. Made some great memories and hope to be visiting again soon to make more.

Loved this little red caboose. It was
so peaceful. Very clean. Even has a jacuzzi tub to relax in after a long day of
driving or hiking. Great location, away from the sounds of the city. We heard
the sounds of nature. Would stay again.
This place was awesome! We were
traveling home after a vacation at the beach. Donnie gave great directions and
we found the place with no problem. Check in was so easy! The caboose was
great, it was very clean and I am a cleanliness freak. It had everything you
could need to make a quick dinner, but we opted to eat out at a local place.
The two person jacuzzi looked like it would be fun. The bed and pillows were
very comfortable and we had a wonderful nights sleep. We will definitely be
back!
Want to stay in a comfortable and
unique place in the middle of a stunning countryside? This is the spot! How
great to stay inside a caboose with a jacuzzi! At night you can sit on the
porch outside and enjoy the star show and the quiet!
Donnie is everything you could hope for
in a host. Friendly, responsive and provides a great service. My wife and I
were delighted that the caboose was spacious yet cozy, the bed was very
comfortable with a special foam topper and every detail was thought of. They
even had a corkscrew and wine glasses there for when we needed. Thank you! We'd
love to return.
A very unique way to experience the
Blue Ridge and Virginia in general. We loved our caboose - it was clean and
comfortable and despite being understandably small, still contained everything
you could need (and a jacuzzi) for your stay. The cabooses have been lovingly
restored and every detail has been thought through. The bed was incredibly
comfortable! The scenery around the caboose is stunning, a great place to stop
for a few days. Donnie, our host, was an absolute delight, very helpful, and we
had some great chats. Thanks for a great visit!

Cool place to stop and stay. Good
diners nearby and nice country views to see all around the area. Caboose was
clean and more spacious than I had expected. You almost forget your in a
caboose and not a hotel!
I loved staying here! The hosts were
super friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfy, especially after a long
drive. The view is gorgeous and we spent quite a bit of time on the porch and
the hanging swing. It's very serene and has everything that you might need for
a little getaway. I would definitely stay again if I have the chance!
My wife and I have stayed here a few
times and the cabooses have become our go-to stopover on our way back from the
OBX. We've stayed in all three of the train cars and each has its own unique
charm. It's amazing to see the work, craftsmanship and detail that went into
restoring each one. We've been in both cold and hot weather and they are always
very comfortable-- and you could not ask for a more scenic view! Right off the
Blue Ridge Parkway and not far from the interstate, it is serene and tranquil
but still pretty convenient. Donnie and his family are always very friendly and
helpful, but allow you your privacy.
Super peaceful setting. Donnie was easy
to work with, and we would definitely recommend staying there! It was a great
getaway with a lovely view.
What a unique experience staying in an
actual caboose. Very quiet location with a great view. We also had a gorgeous
sunset for our one night stay. Donnie is a gracious and friendly host. I would
certainly stay there again. As soon as we pulled up Donnie was there to greet
us. Making both check in and out a super easy and enjoyable experience.
I booked this spot for parents. They
loved it! Donnie was so accommodating and they will definitely be back!
We stayed one night on our way from
Nashville to NYC and had such a lovely time. Check in and out was super easy,
and Donnie was very friendly. The caboose is one of three that are at the top
of a beautiful hill just a few miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We watched the
sunset from the swinging chair and it was breathtaking. If you want a place to
really soak in the natural beauty of the area this is it. The caboose was clean
and had all the things you might need- plates, utensils, and most importantly a
wine opener. The bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was a wonderful way
to relax after hours of driving. A really unique part of our trip.
You have to experience this little
piece of heaven on the hills of Virginia.All the amenities you could ask for
and you sleep in a caboose!
The caboose is really great. It’s a
fantastic drive on the blue ridge pkwy to get there and its a really cool way to
spend the night. It had a porch with an epic view and chairs to enjoy it. The
room had everything I expect a room to have and the bed very comfortable.
Highly recommended.
